This is the subject we have

Collaboration with Saskia Senge and Yoon Hee Kim

“This is the subject we have” is an artistic collaboration. An exhibition that makes itself its own subject and shows its own formation process. Developed from the double meaning of the word “subject,” it becomes an entity itself: with body, thought, and desire. Divided into three rooms.

An exhibition in three rooms.

THE
BODY

Exhibitions present themselves through displays, texts, and graphics. In the first room we show the process of how an exhibition finds its appearance — its own materialization with a supporting element:

The average skin color of the three artists as a color code.

THE
PROCESS

The room is filled with stroboscopic light and a distorted voice that continuously changes and associates various corporealities — feminine, masculine, in between, outside. As a projection, a torus that interactively deforms to the voice. The text consists of the summarized conversations of the artists during the creation of the exhibition.

THE
UPCOMING

The room is blocked with a chain. It functions almost like an image. A mirrored cube hangs in the center. From one perspective it appears completely black, as it reflects the black floor covering that is applied to walls and ceilings. The ceiling lights are reflected on the floor. The light-filled room evokes something future-oriented.
